The 32nd International Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) has been taking place in Kyoto, Japan from April 26-29. It was impressive that people living with dementia and their families were actively involved at this conference as volunteers and keynote speakers. In the symposiums and posters, we had opportunities to learn about dementia-friendly initiatives around the world, their challenges and evaluation methods. Dr. Uchikado and I presented Shonan Orange Plan, which promotes dementia-friendly community in Shonan area. Special thanks to Mr. Ono and Mr. Ishizuka for their supports.(Kazumi Ota)
